Händels Messias – Handel’s Messiah.

Av Händels klassiska juloratorium Messias finns det ett stort antal inspelningar. En inspelning, som blivit utvald till en av de bästa, är med The Academy of Ancient Music från 1980.

Orkestern dirigerades av Christopher Hogwood och solister är bland andra Emma Kirkby, Judith Nelson, Carolyn Watkinson, Paul Elliott och David Thomas

  • Messias av Georg Friedrich Händel är ett oratorium.
  • Händel skrev Messias år 1741 och verket uruppfördes vid en välgörenhetskonsert i Dublin den 13 april 1742.
